Clinics and Conditioning Camps Information

Intro to Goalie Clinic: Saturday September 7th 11:45am-1:00pm

For those interested in trying out the Goalie position for the first time, CMHA will host an Intro to Goalie clinic at the Canmore Recreation Centre on September 7th. This free session is open to all interested, registered players with CMHA. Equipment can be provided.

U9 and U11 Prep Skates:

In accordance with the Intro to Hockey Model and U11 Pathway implemented by Hockey Alberta, CMHA will provide Prep Skates for those registered in U9 and U11 for the 2024-2025 season, prior to the start of Evaluations. The purpose of these sessions is to create player confidence, introduce new concepts, and rules in a player friendly environment. 

There is no cost for these clinics for U9 and U11 players registered with CMHA. No additional registration is required.

CMHA Player/Goalie Conditioning Camp: 2024 Schedule

Each year CMHA offers four, one hour, on-ice sessions prior to the start of Player and Goalie Evaluations for players aged 9-17. These sessions focus on increasing an athlete's physical conditioning and confidence prior to Evaluations.  

Camp spots are limited, and a waitlist will be started once the camps are full. The cost is $150 and is NON-REFUNDABLE. Please confirm the schedule before registering, as there will be no refunds if your player is unable to attend all four sessions.

**U15 camp is waitlisted

Checking Clinics: 

CMHA will host Checking Clinics, at no cost, for players registered with CMHA in the U15 division for the 24/25 season. This is a good opportunity for players new to contact hockey, as well as those looking for a refresher. There is no need to register or confirm your players attendance. Full gear is mandatory. 

*Due to the number of registered U15 age players, we will offer two skates for each session to accommodate everyone. Players have been grouped by last name and are assigned to specific skates.
