 U9 and U11 Prep Skates

In line with the Intro to Hockey Model and U11 Pathway implemented by Hockey Alberta, CMHA will offer Prep Skates for players registered in U9 and U11 for the 2025-2026 season. These sessions will take place before Evaluations begin.

The goal of Prep Skates is to build player confidence and introduce new concepts and rules in a supportive, player-friendly environment. Sessions are expected to run in early September. While not mandatory, they are highly recommended.

There is no cost for these clinics, and no additional registration is required for U9 and U11 players registered with CMHA.

CMHA Player/Goalie Conditioning Camp

Each year CMHA offers four, one hour, on-ice sessions prior to the start of Player and Goalie Evaluations for players aged 9-17. These sessions focus on increasing an athlete's physical conditioning and confidence prior to Evaluations.

Camp spots are limited, and a waitlist will be started once the camps are full. The cost is $150 and is NON-REFUNDABLE. Please confirm the schedule before registering, as there will be no refunds if your player is unable to attend all four sessions.

Players must be registered in a Conditioning Camp to participate.

Checking Clinics

CMHA will host free Checking Clinics for players registered in the U15 and U18 divisions for the 2025-2026 season. Registration is not required, and all are welcome.

Attendance is strongly recommended for any player trying out for a U15 or U18 REP team who has not previously played contact hockey, or for those who want a refresher. These sessions focus on safe and effective body contact techniques to help players feel confident and prepared as the season begins.

Players have been grouped by last name and are scheduled for two sessions each. Please review the schedule carefully to ensure your player attends their assigned times.
