NHL FIRST SHIFT REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 1ST!

No Equipment? No Experience? No Problem. For children between the ages of 6 - 10, the NHL/NHLPA First Shift could be the hockey program for you!

Canmore Minor Hockey Association is proud to host NHL/NHLPA FIRST SHIFT for a second time.

This is a great program designed to help kids age 6-10 who are brand new to hockey to fall in love with the sport. The six-week learn to play program focuses on having fun while learning basic skills.

The cost of the program is $299, and includes head to toe equipment!

Registration opens June 1st, 2023 with the 6-week program running SPRING 2024, starting April 19th, 2024. Register early as spots are limited and expected to fill quickly. 11 spots will be reserved for girls, to encourage more females to be a part of this amazing game.

So, if you know a young person between the ages of 6 & 10 that has never played the great game of hockey and might be interested in trying the sport, please let them know!

The purpose of the Canmore Minor Hockey Association (CMHA), in partnership with it's members, is to promote the game of hockey through skill development, quality leadership, understanding of teamwork and good sportsmanship, in an atmosphere of fun and positive environment for all children.

By enlisting the best volunteer-based coaches and support staff available in the Canmore region, it is the goal of the CMHA to foster personal excellence in each child, regardless of their skill level or gender, and to increase individual self-esteem and dignity of all participants. All members of the CMHA pledge that a Safety First approach will be incorporated into all aspects of the game of hockey.
