Kalix Legacy Foundation - Free Goalie Camp
This upcoming August, the Kalix Legacy Foundation is going to host, in Airdrie, the first annual Southern Alberta free goal camp for low-income households.
This camp, free for 24 goaltenders aged U9 to U18, will be led by experienced coaches, including Nathan Rohl. Participants will benefit from high-quality goaltending training, meals, inspirational speeches, and receive jerseys and other swag.
The camp will be split into two different age groups, U9/U13 and U15/U18, and will consist of four ice times and two dryland sessions for each group. Lunch and dinner will be provided for the goalies on both days and will include speeches from mentors. Each goalie will get a jersey for the camp along with swag to take home. All goalies are welcome to apply, but please note that goalies will be chosen first based on their financial needs and/or restrictions.
To make it as accessible as possible for the families, the KLF will help with accommodations for families traveling over 135 km with a hotel room (one room - two nights) and assist with equipment if needed through our partner, East Side Sports. The families will be welcome to join the staff and goalies for dinners at the end of each night (either communal meals or with gift cards to local restaurants) and snacks for attendees will be available throughout the camp.
